Sooo, hopeful good news! My handsome boy likely has a home to go to!! And it will be close to home! Ray and I will go out tomorrow to see the farm and talk to the owners. Not a certainty yet but things are looking good!! And Boyfriend is now named "Misun Dakoda" which is Native American Lakota Sioux for "Misun" is "Little Brother"

SUCCESS!!! FINALLY!!! Barring any further setbacks, Dakoda comes home to his temporary residence this coming Sunday! It's gonna be one looooonnnngggg day though for everyone involved... God Bless Julia Milliganfor being there with me every step of this horrendous experience and putting up with my ups and downs as I tried to cope... To Amber Crowder, Kelly Cableand Kris Miller Covert particularly for being such AWESOME friends! To Debra Klaser McGarvey for helping to secure his more permanent home!! And of course to my wonderful husband, Raymon Hamzidkhan, who was the driving force when my doubts almost destroyed this dream.... And all my wonderful friends who have provided moral support this last week of hell...I love you all... (((HUGZ)))

OMG!! I have officially been awake now for 26 hours straight!!! But my beautiful boy is HOME!!!!! Well...as close to home as is possible... Gonna be a beast to visit him though... I had to board him pretty far from home... It takes a good 1 1/2 to get there from home... sigh... What I won't do for love... I love him more than when I met him two weeks ago!! Such an amazing boy!

I am sooo drained but ever soooo happy!!! I AM A HORSE MOMMY AGAIN!!! And my boy is just perfect...absolutely PERFECT!! He settled in almost immediately, took everything in stride with a calm understanding and acceptance and even has a new buddy already! Cobalt is a handsome chestnut Quarter Horse that will be his paddock buddy... Dakoda had a brief minor 'tude with him, a few laid back ears and one kick in his direction but Cobalt is so laid back too that he just went "Yo, dude, chill! We be good, bro!!" and that was it! They went about working on their own pile of hay. Peace was understood! I LOVE his new semi temporary home! It is EXACTLY what I am already used to and love in a co-op barn... Really loving, down to earth horse owners who I have no doubt whatsoever will take just as good care of Dakoda as if I could be there daily with him... SUCH a huge relief!!

Hi everyone:
I'm posting this on Patty's Facebook bc I'm not fb friends with all of you!:). But this is what I want to say!!

I'd like to take this time to personally thank every single one of you that helped with Dakoda's transport and boarding!! I'd like to personally extend my sincere thanks to Julia for being Dakoda's chauffeur in such a pinch!! Thank you very much for being such a great friend to Patty and myself. You did an absolute awesome job!!! Not only did you do a great job but it was very selfless since you still had to complete your own work at home and then turn around go to work!! I'd also like to thank amber for facilitating our boarding for him also. It might be a little of a hike, but I know he's in great hands and well worth it!! Thank you both!!
Thank you to all of our other friends that's too numerous to name, for all their support and positive energy that allowed us stay strong during these trying times!! I'm sure their are those that say why a horse? I say why more jeans or why more bars and parties? It's what you fancy!! It's what my wife enjoys!!
I'm grateful to all you guys, and I know patty feels the same way. Take care and have a great and blessed thanksgiving!!

Took my boy on our first trail ride! Just a quiet walk to keep mom calm...lol. But Dakoda was sooo awesome! Traffic whizzing by, road crossings, walking on pavement....The entire time, a perfect gentleman... Of course, I have a look of sheer terror here for no reason...lol.

My handsome boy has cute toes again! I wanted to go with a natural hoof farrier that promotes the mustang trimming method and barefoot only... If anyone wants a wonderful, knowledgeable, kind and gentle barefoot farrier who specializes in rehabilitating hooves, seek out George Perry... Very impressed with his hoof care theories...makes total sense and healthier for the horse... Dakoda looks great barefoot and George thinks he will do absolutely great being barefoot... Dakoda only needs a little time to grow out a couple of issues but he has been blessed with healthy, strong and great conformation... Soooo happy! I LOVE my boy!

Had a wonderful day with my two greatest boys...Raymon and Dakoda!! I am one lucky lady to have not one but two handsome men in my life... both of which take such good care of me... We had a great day at the barn... most of the day was spent in the Jeep going all they way down to Lusby to work with Dakoda then all the way up to Glen Burnie only to turn around again and head to Lothian...lol. Poor Ray... the things he puts up with me....

Extremely excited that my beloved Dakoda now has a beautiful new home to come to in January that is in a PERFECT location to get to daily if I want and directly on the way to and from work!! Through the graciousness of a new lovely friend who owns Twin Danes Farm in Edgewater, MD, my boy is finally coming home permanently! He will have such a loving environment with acres to run and play on with all sorts of critters from other horses and a donkey to alpacas, goats, turkeys, ducks, geese, fancy type chickens, a baby pot belly pig, barn cat and of course, as the farm name suggests, Great Danes!!! We will have awesome hills to work on our endurance, trails to relax on and a huge ring (currently being built) to work on our Dressage and for a part leaser I am hoping will come to work on his jumping talent... I am almost afraid that I am dreaming and dare not to jinx anything... I am grateful to God the Almighty for this wonderful gift for Christmas...a true Christmas miracle for Raymon and me!! Blessed Be!!!
